The Killer Poke

In a project I’ve been working on for a long time and finally have gotten finished, my blog is moving again for the (hopefully) final time—at least the final time as long as Tumblr still exists. I present to you:

What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?

The theme is still very much a work in progress, but this is going to be the place where my Pinboard, my Flickr, and other random content-silo-type accounts all merge into one stream of… well, of whatever I’m doing at the moment. Whatever I’m into.

Anyway, I’ve had this domain name for six months, and I’ve been thinking about exactly what it is I want to do with this stuff for even longer, so here’s everything finally coming together. I hope you enjoy it. This blog is going dark soon.

WSJ: When you first went to the film set, how did it compare with how you saw "The Road" in your head?

CM: I guess my notion of what was going on in "The Road" did not include 60 to 80 people and a bunch of cameras. [Director] Dick Pearce and I made a film in North Carolina about 30 years ago and I thought, "This is just hell. Who would do this?" Instead, I get up and have a cup of coffee and wander around and read a little bit, sit down and type a few words and look out the window.

WSJ: But is there something compelling about the collaborative process compared to the solitary job of writing?

CM: Yes, it would compel you to avoid it at all costs.
